Teen Therapy & Counseling in Southport/ Fairfield, CT
Helping teens navigate the challenges of growing up — in a space where they feel heard, not judged.
Today’s teens face more pressures than ever. Between academic demands, social media, friendships, family expectations, and the challenge of figuring out who they are, many teens feel overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of where they fit in.
I provide therapy for teens in Southport/Fairfield, CT and throughout Fairfield County — helping them build confidence, manage stress, and feel more secure in who they are.
As a parent, it can be difficult to watch your teen struggle. I help teens manage life’s ups and downs and build the resilience they need to thrive.
Is Your Teen Struggling?
Your teen may come to you for help — or perhaps you’ve noticed changes yourself. Some signs your teen may be carrying more than they can handle:
Seems anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed
Withdraws from family, friends, or activities
Appears sad, discouraged, or emotionally drained
Struggles with self-esteem or confidence
Feels overwhelmed by academic expectations
Experiences friendship challenges or social stress
Areas of Focus
Depending on your teen's needs, therapy may address:
Anxiety and stress management
Academic pressure and school-related stress
Family changes, conflict, and communication
Identity development and self-confidence
Life transitions and preparing for college
Friendship challenges and peer relationships
Motivation, coping skills, and emotional regulation
My Approach
I take the time to get to know your teen — their strengths, interests, and what matters most to them. I bring warmth, curiosity, and a dose of humor. I’m an active and engaged listener. In our sessions, teens have a space free from the pressures of parents, teachers, and peers — where they can speak openly. Together we build a relationship that fosters honesty, self-reflection, and growth.
Partnering with Parents
Parents are an important part of the process. I work collaboratively with families to support their teen’s well-being while maintaining the privacy teens need to speak openly and honestly. I will always communicate with parents about significant concerns.
A note on confidentiality: What your teen shares in therapy is confidential unless there are concerns about safety — this privacy is essential to building the trust that makes therapy effective.
